Salish Soils in the Sunshine Coast Community

We work with local schools and organizations to increase sustainability and food security on the Sunshine Coast, with donations of soil and landscaping products to:

  • Demonstration gardens – Kinnickinick School
  • West Sechelt Elementary
  • Sumac Place
  • Sechelt Community School
  • Ocean Avenue demonstration gardens, in partnership with SCACL (Sunshine Coast Association for Community Living)
  • Food in schools – School Organics Program
  • Teaching – in a partnership between School District 46 and Sechelt Nation 12 First Nations youth in grades 10-12 spend 6 weeks at Salish Soils learning about our process and working with the products we produce to create gardens that generate X lbs of food for the Elders and low-income First Nation homes.
