Salish Soils removed 1,300 tonnes of piled up wood waste from the Sechelt Landfill and Pender Harbour Transfer Station. The wood waste was ground up using a 5710 Peterson Grinder with magnet attachments and will be sent to the local mill in Port Mellon, Howe Sound Pulp and Paper, to be used in their energy efficient boiler for power and steam generation.
