It is with deep sadness and contemplation that we announce the death of R. Stuart “Tookie” Angus. We met Tookie in 2010 as we began this journey in land stewardship and reclamation within the Sechelt Nation’s Territory. The alignment was immediate as Tookie shared a passion and vision for giving back to the community in which we live. We also shared the dedicated commitment to indigenous health and economic reconciliation. Tookie was a friend, mentor, advisor, investor and most recently a director of Salish Soils. With our team at Salish Soils, he played a key role in strategic direction, company structure and the development of a path to success. Tookie’s kindness, loyalty and integrity has left an eternal imprint on me personally and unto our business.
