COVID-19 Work Safe Policy

Here is a brief overview on how Salish Soils operations has changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic:

General

  • No public washroom is available
  • Increased cleaning of high contact areas

Recycling

  • Maximum 3 people allowed to drop off recycling at one time
  • Please ensure your recyclables are sorted before coming to site to minimize wait times for your fellow sunshine coast residents
  • Habitat for Humanity bottle depot is currently closed. Refundables can be placed in your general recycling if you choose. Neither Habitat for Humanity nor Salish Soils is receiving income if you choose to do this. We encourage you to bring it to the local recycling depot and donate your proceeds to Habitat for Humanity

Green Waste/Wood Waste

  • Maximum 4 people allowed to green waste/wood waste area at one time
  • Please stay in your vehicle while on the scale

Soil Sales

  • Cash is not accepted at this time and a barrier is in place to restrict the public entering the office
  • If you are self hauling product we ask that you bring your own shovels. Pails can still be retrieved from general recycling but please note they are not sanitized between uses.
