Through partnership with the Sunshine Coast Regional District Salish Soils offers are a full-service recycling depot which accepts products through the following FREE programs.

Textiles Recycling-Daibetes Canada

Diabetes Canada is a not for profit organization who collects unwanted textiles and uses their proceeds to fund research, D-camps and advocacy.  Find out more at Declutter Diabetes

Accepted textiles include

  • Accessories and bags
  • Clothing (all types)
  • Curtains
  • General household textiles (towels, blankets, sheets)
  • Shoes and boots
  • Sleeping bags

 

Refundables-Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is a not for profit organization who has volunteers at our site accepting all refundables to be able to fund their many programs that help residents here on the Sunshine Coast.  To learn how to volunteer for this program click here.

Light bulb recycling program that accepts all light bulbs where their primary purpose is the illumination of space.

Battery Recycling

Battery recycling program which includes rechargeable batteries, single use batteries, and cellphones.

Recycling program which includes small household appliances and power tools.

Electronic Recycling

Electronics – Recycle My Electronics

Electronic recycling which includes TV’s, computers, monitors, printers, gaming systems, and battery powered toys.
